Sometimes love stories begin with a grand romantic gesture. And sometimes, they begin with a mutual friend sending you someone’s phone number.
For Cassidy Kascht and Nathan Kelly, this phone number turned into something special.
The two first connected in 2020 through a mutual friend who passed along Cassidy’s number to Nathan. They spent months getting to know each other over the phone before finally meeting in person with a group of friends in July 2020. It took Cassidy a little time to realize exactly where her feelings were headed, but eventually, she agreed to their first official date on October 4, 2020.
And the rest, as they say, is history.
Kade spent weeks planning the perfect proposal without Kate suspecting a thing.
After what Kate thought was a normal day of errands, a volleyball game, and dinner, Kade led her into her backyard, where twinkling lights, flowers, and photos created a beautiful surprise. Moments later, he got down on one knee.
As if that were not enough, both of their families stepped out from behind the trees to celebrate with them, including Kate’s parents, who had traveled from Canada.
“It truly was magical,” Kate shared. “I will forever cherish those sweet memories.”

When it came time to choose their wedding venue, the decision came down to two things that mattered most to each of them.
Nathan had one request: he wanted to get married in a barn.

After building their relationship over years of phone calls, dates, adventures, and eventually planning their wedding from a different state, getting to stand together surrounded by the people they love made the day even more meaningful.

Cassidy describes their relationship in a way that feels simple and completely true to their story:
“Love is a funny thing. It finds you when you are least expecting it, and the person you are meant to be with will make falling for them easy.”
That was Nathan and Cassidy.
