The Meadow Barn is a dream venue for weddings. It is located on the outskirts of a beautiful 6000-tree apple orchard, surrounded by lush landscaping, and has the most amazing scenery for pictures. Below you will find 12 Special Photo Opportunities at The Meadow Barn!
Grassy Meadow
The Grassy Meadow is can be found just north of The Meadow Barn. It is filled with luscious landscaping, beautiful apple trees, and a permanent arch for ceremonies. The meadow is a great spot for first looks and couple portraits!
The Apple Orchard
The Meadow Barn is located on a 6000-tree apple orchard. The orchard is always beautiful for photos. No matter the season, your photos will be breathtaking. You can also find little surprise photo opportunities inside our orchard, such as a old Chevy and an a retired tractor. We love seeing how creative our couples and photographers can get in our gorgeous orchard.
The Tree Line
At The Meadow Barn, we have more than just apple trees! We planted a huge tree line that runs the length of the property. It is perfect for group photographs.
Pergola and Rope Swing
Nestled just behind The Meadow Barn is our Rope Swing and Pergola. These photos are always stunning. Over the years, photographers have experimented with different angles! We were not disappointed to say the least!
North Side of Barn
The North Side of The Meadow Barn faces the Grassy Meadow and permanent arch. The north side of the barn creates a magical backdrop for family photos, first looks, bridal party photos, champagne pop photos, and more!
East Side of Barn
The East Side of The Meadow Barn gives a different but amazing view of our beautiful timber structure and chandeliers.
The Bridge
The Bridge connects The Country Apple Orchard and The Meadow Barn Property! It’s a quaint bridge that creates breathtaking photos. You can even see the top of The Meadow Barn in some!
The Field
The Field next to The Meadow Barn (usually corn or beans) is in full bloom by summer and ready to harvest in the fall. If you catch it at the exact right time, you’ll capture the beauty of South Dakota in your pictures!
The Shed
The Shed can be found just north of the The Meadow Barn, right before the Grassy Meadow! We don’t see many pictures in front of the shed, but the ones we do see are AMAZING!
Sidewalk Shot
If you are looking to do a Formal Send Off, the sidewalk on the east side of The Meadow Barn is the perfect spot – our favorite being a Sparkler Send off! The curve of the sidewalk creates depth, while the radiant chandeliers add a beautiful glow to the background.
The Bridal Suite
The Bridal Suite is beautifully designed with all our brides in mind. It is decorated with a beautiful blue, antique couch, a bridal bar, Queen Seating, and more! This space is perfect for our brides to get ready and relax in throughout the day. It is also perfect for “Getting Ready” photos and Glam Shots!
Grooms Loft
For our grooms, we created the Grooms Loft. It is decorated with a comfy, leather couch and full screen tv! The loft over looks the reception space and a clear view of our chandeliers – meaning this is perfect local for photos!
Alpaca Cuteness
Our previous suggestions have all been about location, l0cation, location! Our last picture perfect photo opportunity is less about locale and more about who or what is in your photo! One of our most popular and most loved embellishment is our Alpaca Cuteness Hour. The Meadow Barn staff will bring out 2 of our Alpacas for an hour during your cocktail hour/reception (your choice)! These furry guys make the perfect addition for your guests but also the perfect addition to all your photos. If you don’t believe us, take a look for yourself!
The Meadow Barn is large, rustic event space with 34ft ceilings, a raised patio area, outdoor ceremony area, and can host 400 guests. Our timer frame, apple orchard surrounding, and impeccable staff make The Meadow Barn the best wedding venue in the Sioux Falls Area.
